A comedy in 4 acts: grown women, aching feet and heaving bosoms!
Follow the Cheshire Cats team as they speedwalk their way to fundraising success in the
London Moonwalk. Hilary, Siobhan, Yvonne, Vicky and Maggie are attempting to walk 13
miles across the capital in record time in their decorated bras and posh new trainers, but the
sixth member of their team doesn’t seem to meet the physical criteria! Cheshire Cats is a
cross between a girls’ night our and a real mission to support a cause close to many hearts,
with plenty of laughs and a few tears along the way.
This is a play for lots of women of all ages and shapes and a few men for good measure!

7 women, 4 men and 4 marshals – can be men or women.

Hilary: bombastic (could be middle aged) team leader/organiser.
Siobhan: caring and diplomatic. Old friend of Hilary.
Yvonne: overworked/overweight stresses-out mum and friend of Hilary.
Maggie: overweight younger mum.
Vicky: artistic, fit, glamorous middle-aged divorcee.

Andrew: trim toyboy.
Madge: elderly Cockney marshal.
Ethel: elderly Cockney marshal.
Ron: married to Madge, so of similar age.
Aerobics instructor: needs to look the part.
Handsome (!) drunk.
Policeman – can double as handsome drunk.
Between 2 and 5 more marshals will be needed. Photographers – preferably 2 and if
possible male.

Auditions will be on Monday 22nd and Thursday 25th January. Set up 7th April with
performances 12th, 13th and 14th April. Do please all come along to audition or to
volunteer for a backstage job.
See you there. Happy New Year!
